Trump Organization Attempted to Hire Almost 200 Workers on Visas in 2025

Donald Trump’s corporate entity accelerated its recruitment of foreign workers on temporary visas this period, even as his government was creating barriers for other businesses wanting to do the identical, a report released recently stated.

Based on data from the federal labor department, the Trump Organization aimed to bring in at least nearly 200 foreign workers in 2025 for short-term roles at the former president’s Florida property, golf facilities and his winery in Virginia.

The quantity of requests for H-2A and H-2B visas for staff including servers, clerks, housekeepers, kitchen staff and farm workers was the record filed by the organization, and up from over 120 in the previous term, when Trump’s first term concluded.

It was also the fifth time in a decade that Trump had attempted to hire over a hundred overseas workers for seasonal jobs at his Florida resort, according to labor statistics.

The revelation coincides with a tightening on immigration laws by his administration that has involved the introduction of a substantial charge on H1-B visas; extra scrutiny of the activities of the 55 million people who possess American work permits; and tighter regulations for foreign students and journalists.

In total, the business aimed to employ over 560 overseas workers over the period the former president has been in the presidency, from his first term and during 2025.

Notably, Trump was criticized by certain in the Republican party this period for remarks defending the necessity for foreign workers when a company was unable to find people with “particular skills” to fill certain positions.

“You cannot just say a nation is coming in, going to spend $10bn to build a facility, and going to take people off an unemployment line who haven’t worked in years, and they’re going to start making their missiles. It isn’t feasible that effectively,” he stated to a interviewer after it was implied that foreign workers lower the wages of US workers.

The administration refused a request for comment, and the Trump Organization did not provide an answer to an inquiry.
